Primor moves into retail space owned by Alting Group on Passeig de Gràcia

ALTING LEASES ONE OF ITS EXCLUSIVE SPACES AT 29-31 PASSEIG DE GRÀCIA TO PERFUME CHAIN PRIMOR. INTERMEDIATION WAS PROVIDED FOR THIS OPERATION BY THE ARETAIL CONSULTANCY FIRM.

 

Barcelona, 15 July 2024.- Alting Group has leased one of its two retail spaces at  29-31 Passeig de Gràcia street to the perfume ans cosmetics chain Primor for the next 15 years. Intermediation was provided for this operation by aRetail, a consultancy that specializes in retail spaces for sale and rent in prime areas, helping fuel the brand’s strategic expansion plan.

The chain will begin construction to fit out the space for their activity and hopes to open its new flagship store there before the end of the year.

This retail space with 900m² on 2 floors (ground floor with 423 m² and basement with 477 m²) is in the heart of Passeig de Gràcia, Barcelona’s most exclusive shopping street and one of the most in demand in Spain.

Primor, a company based in Malaga that specializes in distributing cosmetics and perfume products, currently has over 250 points of sale around the world, prioritizing the best locations in both Spanish cities and international expansion to Andorra, Portugal and Italy.

They currently have 13 shops in Barcelona, including their flagship store on Portal de l’Àngel. With this new opening, the company will boost its presence and visibility in Barcelona, thanks to the prime location of this new shop.

PG 29-31 building, a unique location

The building, owned by the Alting Group, is at the heart of Passeig de Gràcia street, on the Quadrat d’Or. Its façade is listed in the Barcelona City Council’s Protected Buildings catalog and considered a one-of-a-kind piece.

After the building was acquired in 1998, it was refurbished and restored by Alting in 2000 and selected as a finalist for the Prix Excellence. In 2022, the Alting Project Management Department repositioned the asset, incorporating the latest technology and design, turning it into the 5 star Boutique & Lifestyle Flagship hotel for US group Sonder.

The building also has two retail spaces on the ground floor, one leased to fashion chain Mango and the other just leased to Primor, which was previously occupied by US athletic footwear and apparel brand Nike.
